no doubt that we all have heard about nanotechnology and how it is going to create a revolution in just about everything. with carbon nanotubes comes the promise of cheap accessibility space through the use of space elevators. or using “mini surgeons” constructed out of nanobots that are injected into your body by the trillions, you can live significantly longer because these nano-docs will be actively repairing damged cells in your body and effectively wiping out diseases such as diabetes and cancer. the usefulness of nanotechnology is seemingly limitless, but so are its horrors.
imagine a horror movie in which the monster is not some hideous, ugly creature that only comes out when you fall asleep, on halloween, or when you stumble on to the red carpet:
in reality, the monster is an invisible enemy that, much like al gore’s penis, can only be seen with the most powerful microscopes. this enemy is assembled not in hell, but in the laboratory one atom at a time and can only be measured in units that human mind cannot even comprehend. with the ability self-replicate, nanotechnology is an unstoppable enemy that must be, well…stopped. want to know how you, your children, or your grand children might die at the hands of nanotechnology? here’s how:
micro-surgeons
modern day cancer treatments such as chemotherapy have come a long way since they first began in the mid-20th century. as refined as chemotherapy is today, it still inflicts as much damage to the patient’s body as it does to the cancer. this is where the micro-surgeons step in.
the micro-surgeons are injected into your body and can find and remove cancer cells with nanolasers either with the guidance of a human surgeon or they can be programmed to perform the surgery themselves. either of these scenarios can prove to be a fucking nightmare. imagine:
1). you have cancer and you go to a surgeon to remove the cancer from your body. the surgeon says that he is going to inject you with micro-surgeons that are of the surgeon-guided variety of nanobots. after they are injected (by the trillions in one injection) into your body, and they perform the surgery inside of you. you leave the surgeon’s office feeling good that you are now cancer free. somewhere nearby there is some sick fuck that gets his jollies fucking with people and killing them. he ”hacks” into your body with his laptop and takes control of those micro-surgeons that had just saved your life a few moments ago. he then sets them to turn on you and your body is destroyed one cell at a time. you turn into a pile of ooze in a couple of hours.

2). you have cancer and you go to a surgeon to remove the cancer from your body. the surgeon says that he is going to inject you with micro-surgeons that are of the self-guided variety of nanobots. after they are injected into your body, and they perform the surgery inside of you. you leave the surgeon’s office feeling good that you are now cancer free. you get home and start to feel funny. not much later you hunch over in extreme pain as you start to turn into a pile oozing goo. what happened? those little helpful micro-surgeons that just saved your life never stopped performing surgery and just destroyed your body cell by cell from the inside out. congratulations, you have just been killed by trillions of robots that are less than a billionth of a meter (a nanometer) big and turned into an amorphous blob.
gene-specific attacks
as far as weapons go, nanotechnology seems to be one of the most promising. presently, scientists and researchers are designing some of the must fucked up weapons ever. in the works are weapons that can target specific human organs and even specific genotypes. how does it work?
these nanotechnology weapons would very similarly to a biological attack in that they could be fired into a region via a rocket or missile and released onto unsuspecting soldiers or citizens like anthrax. since they would so small (about size of a virus or microbe) they would be carried and spread by gusts of wind. when someone inhales them they would attack the specified organs such as the heart, brain, or anything else really. and could be spread from person to person just like the flu or sexually just like that two dollar crack whore that you call “mom” spreads syphilis around town.
your mom
how are these “nanodiseases” different from the regular scourge that mother nature cooks up? they can be programmed to target a specific set of genes as well as organs and like microbes, can be self-replicating. that means that if the weapons designers only want to target a certain ethnic group it would be no problem. all they have to do is program these nanodiseases to attack people with certain sets of genes that are specific to that ethnic group. soldiers that don’t have the set of genes that are being targeted are free to walk around in the infected area. this weapon would have been hitler’s dream.
mini nukes
thought that the nuclear race was over? it’s not. it’s just gone down in size, literally. current developments in both civilian and military nuclear applications of nanotechnology is pretty damn amazing. both the french and americans are using nanonukes to power experimental nuclear fusion. in the works are also nanonukes that can be used as a weapon.
nanotechnology is nothing to new to the nuclear weapons industry, they invented it 30 years ago. as nanotechnology progresses, its cost goes down and the effectiveness goes up. what does that mean? it will be cheaper to produce more weapons that can progressively become more powerful while using less nuclear fuel. imagine a powerful microbe sized nuclear weapon that has the ability to self-replicate. start out with just a few nanonukes and you can end up with a city filled with invisible nanonukes. bam! bye bye los angeles
what can you do about it?
can’t you read? nothing! you can’t stop progress. especially one that is as profitable as nanotechnology can be. just hope that none of this shit happens to you.
